In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

State-of-the-art reproductive science combined with personalized, empathetic care to help you achieve your dream of parenthood.

What is IVF?

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the most effective and widely used assisted reproductive technologies. It involves combining eggs and sperm outside the body in a specialized laboratory where embryo development is closely monitored by expert embryologists.

At VB Fertility Clinic, our IVF lab is equipped with the latest incubators, air purification systems, and micromanipulation tools, giving your embryos the optimal environment to grow before being carefully transferred to the uterus.

The IVF Journey Step-by-Step

Understanding the process is the first step toward feeling confident and prepared. Here is a general timeline of what to expect during a typical IVF cycle.

Day 1-10

Ovarian Stimulation

Daily injectable medications stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs. We monitor progress via ultrasound and blood tests.

Day 12

Egg Retrieval

A minor outpatient procedure under light sedation to collect the mature eggs from the ovaries using ultrasound guidance.

Day 12-17

Fertilization & Culture

Eggs are fertilized with sperm in our state-of-the-art laboratory. Embryos develop in incubators for 3 to 5 days while being constantly monitored.

Day 17/18

Preimplantation Genetic Testing

(Optional) Embryos can be biopsied and tested for chromosomal abnormalities to ensure only the healthiest are selected.

Day 18-20 or Next Cycle

Embryo Transfer

The healthiest embryo is carefully transferred into the uterus. This is a simple procedure requiring no anesthesia.

Day 30-34

Pregnancy Test

Approximately 12-14 days after transfer, a blood test (beta hcg) is performed to confirm pregnancy.
